How can you help us?

At PARCHE we have a vision for reaching all the Homes for the Elderly in Eastbourne with the love of Christ, but we need your help to do that. We want to see that each Christian church in Eastbourne effectively ‘chaplains’ or ‘adopts’ one or more care homes in the town, so that both residents and staff can know and experience the love of Jesus Christ for themselves.

You may well realise that many people who enter care in this way have become detached from their churches and other support structures and feel isolated and bereft. Some are visited pastorally or taken to church on Sunday, but unfortunately many residents lose contact with church and this can add to that sense of loss.

We at PARCHE believe that Christian churches need to be church in these residential care communities and not just in our own church buildings or members houses. Sometimes our teams are reaching existing Christians, but we also have many testimonies of residents and staff in care homes coming to faith through the ministry of PARCHE groups.

How can we help you?

We at PARCHE will back you up all the way, over the last 25 years we have gained much experience and practical knowledge that we are passionate to pass on to all who feel challenged by God to reach this often-forgotten generation. We simply want to help your ministry grow. For example, we usually are in contact with your local care home already and can arrange a meeting with you and them, we also provide training and advice on all the practical, procedural, and pastoral things you need, such as:

• basic training - how to best relate with your care home
• how to lead a service
• best safeguarding practice
• PARCHE books and CD’s to relieve your group from the planning and music
